Samsung W23 and W23 Flip Unveiled: Sleeker Z Fold4 and Z Flip4 for China Telecom

Man yes but we can agree with China Telcom the W series is like premium because they wouldn’t pay Russian caviar brand and Vertu which is a much better device in terms of premium.

Edit: Oh yes, for the young and rich in China, they only use 1 premium phone: Apple. If you’re not using the latest iPhone on launch day, you’re not in the right social group. They may have multiple phones at the same time, but… it’s always the iPhone they use…
And of course this is a bad idea. Apple is not premium, it never was, and making it cheap and selling it expensive can be done by anyone. In these terms, even Sony is more premium than Apple.
But as I said before, the only premium brand that has ever existed is Vertu and if the Chinese can’t afford Vertu, they don’t have a premium brand.
Calling Apple a premium is like saying that money grows on trees, which is a lie.
Many of the major phone brands are expensive these days, but if something is really expensive, it doesn’t mean it’s premium.
Even Huawei Mate 50 RS is more premium than Apple because of the leather finish and various other features that Apple will never have or use.

The rich will buy some of the more expensive variants to show others that they can pay beyond the “common sense of a commoner”. For example, buying 12 editions of the $14k Apple Watch to put 2 paws on your dog.

It’s common to hear “I have so much money I can’t finish spending it in a few lifetimes. I can buy that (overpriced crap) and it doesn’t even make a rounded figure on my bank statements. (However, I’m glad I managed to get you noticed.) I have so much money to spend on frivolous items, so I’ll buy more things that the poor can’t afford)”.

Mike, Oct 22, 2022What are you talking about, Xiaomi is not even close in terms of premium phones like not even close.Man, since when is Samsung in terms of a premium phone?
It’s just an expensive brand like all the others, starting with Apple and Sony.
The only premium brand that existed was Vertu.
Apart from Vertu, all other brands are more or less expensive brands but far from premium.

The only slight exception to this is Caviar, which doesn’t make phones itself, but buys those devices from Samsung, Apple and many more and transforms an overpriced average non-premium device into a luxury premium one.
But compared to Vertu, Caviar doesn’t make phones of their own that they buy, refurbish and sell.

This is what I’m talking about.

And if you compare Xiaomi Fold and Samsung Fold and do the same with Motorola Fluip and Samsung Flip, you will realize that for 30% less price you will get a device with much more specifications.

Nowadays having a load of 20 or 25 W is ridiculous. Since time is money, faster is always better. many other phone specifications can be used in this way to compare between one and another.

I love both, I used and had a stand but I never saw that one coming as in my head I always believed that Samsung was always one step ahead.

Not anymore.

I don’t really like the aesthetics, but flip makes a lot of sense, considering the 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It is good for the longevity of the mobile; if you plan to use it for at least 3 years.

Samsung certainly knows how to please its Chinese buyers.

No matter how hard they try, Motorola Flip will always look better and Xiaomi fold will always provide better specs.

Samsung’s W foldable phones always looked great.

I still don’t understand why they were only from China. They could probably also sell them in South Korea and Japan.
Even in the US some old men would have jumped on them.
