The app allows iPhone/iPad Pro users to seamlessly create simulation-based AR scenes

SEBASTOPOL, CA, UNITED STATES, October 27, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ — Pantomime Corporation today launched the Reality Construction Kit app on the App Store, which allows users to create physically realistic augmented reality scenes. The app allows users to create realistic 3D scenes in their space with tracks, boards, balls, darts, dominoes, and other virtual objects.
Reality Construction Kit uses the LiDAR depth sensors in iPhone and iPad Pros to see the detailed shape of the user’s environment, so virtual items can bump, slide, bounce, roll on surfaces, and disappear behind real objects.
A Tack function allows users to mount virtual structures on real objects and surfaces, and even in mid-air. Users roll the balls down tracks they’ve nailed to real furniture and build courses that send realistic balls around the room.
Users build realistic boxes, crates, and planks in courses. To shoot hoops, they can throw a basketball hoop against a wall and it automatically rises when it lands. Darts stick to real furniture, objects, ceilings or dart boards. Undo buttons allow users to remove recent items and try again to create and improve a scene.
State-of-the-art computing for 3D physics, graphics and sound
as shown in the video, the physical realism is amazing. Along with realistic collisions and fluid motion between real and synthetic objects, stunning realism includes:
• shadows, adaptive lighting and reflections of the real room in shiny virtual objects
• Diverse and highly directional crash sounds from up to 4 speakers
Reality Construction Kit, available on all 12 iPhone Pro and iPad Pro models released since 2020, enlists multiple CPUs and up to 10 graphics/physical cores to do all of this seamlessly in real time at 60 animation frames per second. Parallel software efficiently distributes work to each device. This week’s new iPad Pros with M2 processors and the latest iPhone 14 Pro models offer the most performance for complex scenes.
Reality Store in Reality Construction Kit allows users to extend it with free and paid in-app purchases. Each new item physically interacts with every other item; for example, a thrown virtual dart can tip over a virtual box or drawer, pop a bubble, stick into a real dartboard, or ride on a rolling virtual ball.
In today’s launch, Pantomime offers the following items in its Reality Store:
• Track: to build courses and structures in your space
• Planks – add them to your space to perfect a track course
• Darts: stick to real and virtual objects, walls, ceilings or dart boards.
• Balls: basketballs, soccer, volleyball and bowling balls
• Basketball Hoop: Throw an object and hear how it scores.
• Dominoes: line them up and knock them down
• Box: open at one end: stack them, nail them, fill them, spill them…
• Baseball bat: reach and push or hit virtual objects
Pantomime’s 5-star augmented reality app, Reality Faucet, has been superseded as thousands of Reality Faucet customers receive an automatic upgrade to the Reality Construction Kit.
Reality Construction Kit runs on all of these iPhone Pro and iPhone Pro models:
• iPhone 12 Pro, 13 Pro and 14 Pro
• iPhone 12 Pro Max, 13 Pro Max and 14 Pro Max
• iPad Pro 11″ 2020, 2021 and 2022 models
• iPad Pro 12.9″ 2020, 2021 and 2022 models
Pantomime Corporation was founded in 2014 by CEO David Levitt, an alumnus of the VPL Research team that invented virtual reality, and Don Hopkins, of the team that created The Sims. Pantomime won the Launch Silicon Valley Startup Challenge and launched several early augmented reality apps.
