Not to start an argument with a sheep, but the pixel 7 is $600 while the S22 is $900. If I had $900 I wouldn’t get the S22 when you can get the Pixel 7 Pro for $900

I bet it still applies HDR if you turn it off. Just a slightly more subtle amount. I would be very surprised if HDR was disabled entirely. So it wouldn’t be a Samsung.

BBK, xiaomi, sony, motorola flagships do not do this.

“Another option allows you to disable automatic lens switching, i.e. it gives you manual control over which lens to use.”
That’s great, all manufacturers should offer this.
Also, each manufacturer should allow you to choose whether to enable analog binning.
And for all these options, you should have the choice between true RAW files and computational photography RAW files or machine learning dng files.

Impressive: The posted video shows that Samsung’s astrophotography mode can also be used with the periscope camera. As far as I know Google also offers this, but as far as I know Google’s periscope astrophotography mode uses 16 seconds per frame and this leads to star trails, while Samsung uses 5 seconds per frame based on video. This will lead to noticeably shorter Star Trails.

Transferring raw photos or videos means you have to decode them to jpeg if you want to view them on your PC. then again I could be wrong.

notefanboy, 12 hours agoFaster shutter? Does that mean no more horrible shutter lag? 😲Faster shutter = less stacked frames.

Nothing to do with the amount you need to start capturing the scene.

I can’t wait for this to hit the lower end of Samsung devices.
