The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer sets a new benchmark for fast charging – 210W

It would have been worth it if it had a 7.3 Ah battery instead of a 4.3 Ah one. For now, 100w is pretty good and gives a good enough charge.

METER

Meanwhile, I charge my “amazing” Pixel 6 Pro at 23 watts of “fast” charging… such an “amazing” technology made by Google USA :((((

A

I’m not against fast charging speeds, I think around 60 watts is the best compromise right now, BUT I think battery life (how long a battery lasts between charges) is more important to a lot of people. If a phone can charge from 0 to 100% in a minute, but you work outside or don’t have access to a charging point, it won’t do you any good. I think all batteries should be a minimum of 5000mah+ with a minimum charge rate of 30 watts at this point. No phone should need to be charged more than once a day in 2022

IpsDisplay, 1 hour agoMy argument is not a justification for 200W when 1000W is available. My argument is RELATIVE… plusNo. Fast charging is bad. It’s bad for the battery 🔋 it’s bad very bad

me

The incredible speed of the charger is the new fight “My phone has 5 cameras” or “I have the largest MP main camera”.

Honestly, I think it’s a boring fight, but on the other hand, I like to see how technology is improving so fast over the last 5 or 6 years. I hope to see these improvements for wireless charging as well.

For my level of use, the fast charge of 45w~67w is already fast enough.

blue, 1 hour agoDoes Xiaomi offer a battery replacement program similar to Apple or Samsung? I guess not, so… plusThey may offer a battery replacement, but it will still be a hassle since the batteries are and cannot be removed now.
OnePlus offered a free replacement earlier this year for some of its older models so they can be used as a secondary phone or something.

EITHER

I bet some phones in 5 years will charge as fast as electric vehicles
Today it will go up like this. at the beginning of the year 120 w
It was the fastest rate of change and is now up about 75%. The only likely limit on charging speeds will perhaps even be the power supply.😂

Anonymous, 3 hours agoMaybe 2 months, then I have to replace the battery or the whole phone 💥Does Xiaomi offer a battery replacement program similar to Apple or Samsung? I guess not so just replace the whole phone.
Or get an iPhone.

GRAM

After a certain point, these are just numbers. 65-80W is pretty fast for me.
But, I do appreciate super fast charging phones. Personally, I don’t think I’ll buy a slow charging phone again.

Anonymous, 2 hours agoIt seems you never attended a school. The battery is damaged by heat. Your argument that 200W with… plusMy argument is not a justification for 200W when 1000W is available

My argument is RELATIVITY, the argument is that there will be new standards of what is RELATIVELY slow and FAST

In the future what we NOW consider fast will be SLOW

And with that logic, people will choose 200W as the new conservative option in the future.

This is history repeating itself. There was a time when 3W was the slowest and people complained that 15W is destructive to the battery.

High WATTS do NOT automatically mean more heat generation because we don’t know how that power is applied in the charging system.

Don’t be lazy, make your research technology improve overtime

H

Better give me great battery life with a 5W charger.

JoXim, 2 hours agoCome on, stop complaining… 90% of the comments are about loading speed… plusNobody is going to buy a second charger, what a silly comment.
People are already mad that they don’t get 1 in the box for most phones.
And much less buy 2.

Fritzfreak, 2 hours agoTruer words were never spoken. I’m glad, among the garbage comments I could find… plusThose with an expensive flagship phone keep it for years, unlike entry-level buyers like this one, who get rid of the phone after a year or two.

xocomaox, 3 hours ago45W PD charging degrades devices just as fast as these newer charging methods. So… plusThe heat is a consequence of the charging speed, but people here don’t see it somehow.

Try a 10-12W charger on these vivo iqoo or xiaomi with 150/200W and you can see they charge much cooler.

JoXim, 2 hours agoCome on, stop complaining… 90% of the comments are about loading speed… plusI can’t believe how many complaints about fast charging. while it is a good thing for most people who are in a hurry. they could have used other (but slower) replacement chargers to take care of the battery

Come on people, stop complaining…
90 percent of the comments are about how fast charging will screw up your phone.
Nobody forces you to buy these phones and you can always use slower chargers with them, for example.
There are many solutions, stop complaining all the time.

chocolate starfish, 3 hours ago“The battery won’t last” It’s the same thing you say every time it’s new… plusTruer words were never spoken.

I’m glad, among the trashy comments I was able to find someone with a brain for a change.
louder for the people in the back too please
