NAIROBI, Kenya, October 28 – Apple Authorized Reseller Salute iWorld has officially launched the iPhone 14, 14 Plus, 14 PRO and iPhone 14 PRO Max in Kenya as demand for high-end devices increases.
The devices come in two new sizes, one 6.7-inch and one 6.1-inch, all finished in a sleek and robust aerospace-grade aluminum construction.
Both models feature stunning Super Retina XDR displays with OLED technology that enable 1,200 nits of peak HDR brightness, 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and Dolby Vision, as well as improved internal architecture for higher thermal performance.
Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing, said that the iPhone 14 is available in the following shades: midnight, starlight, blue, purple, and red.
He went on to mention that it has a new camera system that offers improved low-light performance, as well as a faster and brighter TrueDepth camera with autofocus.
“The improved camera system with a new 12MP rear camera with a larger sensor and larger 1.9-micron pixels improves low-light performance by 49 percent,” it said.
The model features an A15 Bionic chip with a 5-core GPU, which provides remarkable performance and efficiency for demanding applications. This iPhone series is also more advanced than ever due to its incredible battery life, industry-leading durability features, and super-fast 5G.
On the other hand, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, the most technologically advanced Pro line to date, feature Dynamic Island, a new design that offers a natural way to use iPhone and the Always-On display.
iPhone 14 Pro introduces a new class of professional camera system, with the first 48MP main camera in an iPhone featuring a four-pixel sensor and Photonic Engine, an improved image pipeline that significantly improves low-light photos.
It is also powered by A16 Bionic, the fastest chip ever seen in a smartphone.
According to Salute Holdings Group CEO Vivek Mehra, the growing middle class and the desire for remote work as companies adopt a hybrid work style are increasing demand for high-end electronics.
He went on to say that as more technology-based companies locate in Nairobi, the city’s technology sector is also expanding rapidly.
“We are embarking on an expansion strategy in a bid to consolidate our market share as Apple’s top reseller in the Kenyan market. The company has also invested heavily in world-class after-sales services, as the products come with a two-year warranty and 90-day after-sales support,” he said.
iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be offered in four exquisite new finishes: deep purple, silver, gold, and space black. They feature the Ceramic Shield front cover, which is more durable than any smartphone glass and offers water and dust resistance to protect against common spills and accidents.
Salute iWorld, established in 2012, is the leading Apple retailer in East Africa with 9 stores in Kenya at Westgate Mall, The Junction Mall, Yaya Centre, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Town Store IPS Building, Village Market, Galleria Shopping Mall, Garden City Mall and in Centro Capital.
The firm has also partnered with financing services provider KCB Group and buy now, pay later providers Aspira and LipaLater in a bid to increase adoption of Apple devices in the Kenyan market.
Kenya leads the East African market in demand for high-end IT products, followed by Uganda and Tanzania, respectively.
