Zink, 3 hours agoIt makes sense though, Samsung is still the brand behind half of all Android phones out there… plusYou can’t ALWAYS use Samsung as an excuse for the 99% of other brands that are lazy and provide pathetic software support. But everyone here always does. Question software support and Samsung will always throw itself as an example. Why not Oppo? Why not Realme? Why not 30 other Android brands? Always this selection and choice of the best excuses.
And yes, I am using Xiaomi. Which somehow sucks less compared to all other Chinese brands.
Apple offers partial software support, but their prices are out of control in the EU (I mean they raised the price of the base SE 3 to €529)
So again it makes sense, and this from someone who uses iOS and Android every day.
bruh moment, 5 hours agoSamsung gives away 5 years of security updates This is fucking funny. EVERY TIME. I mean literally EVERY TIME you throw up Samsung as an example when we question software support. What about the 99% of the rest of the Chinese brands that are absolute rubbish with it? Oh sure, that’s a drawback, but Samsung! hilarious

I have downloaded beta on iPad mini, still no option to use 5g
Anonymous, 10 hours agoImagine updating the entire operating system to update just the weather app. The status of android updates… plusAnd which Android phone gets 5 years of security updates? For most it’s a miracle if it’s 3 years…
lolpoqooo, 13 hours agoYour iqoo will never get Android updates but iPhones will get updates for another 6 years lol… plusImagine updating the entire operating system to update just the weather app. The situation for Android updates is better. 5 years of security updates and more features is better than 6 years of updates but no features.
Lol my Realme (X7 Max) didn’t even need any update (although I thought I needed one)🤣
In fact, I’m still on the July patch, because I didn’t feel like updating to the newer patches!
And the highest I got was 385.7 Mbps↓ near my office and I regularly get over 200 Mbps ↓
So that really easily translates to 5-10x speed of 4G!
Keep waiting iOS sheep 👍🏻🤣🤣
AtomicMarrow147, 14 hours agoWell my iqoo gets an update and 5g is enabled with it. Apple is a bit slow.Your iqoo will never get android updates but iPhones will get updates for another 6 years lol and oh they will work fine even after four years while your iqoo will go dead right after a year.
But I agree, I mean I use Android and iOS, but I never liked Windows Mobile when it existed.
I use Windows and Linux, but I never liked any Mac OS variant.
However, I would not shout out loud what people should wear or what I like or hate, nor would I joke around with it or act like a fan.
Everything has a purpose, and if you prefer Mac OS that’s fine, I prefer Windows and Linux but I’ll respect the choice of others.
But again, this site is a comment section in a nutshell.

bl , 13 hours agoWindows is a complete mess and Apple OS 16 is not far away, does anyone know why?Oh, check out another comment trying to spark a discussion against Windows and Apple.
What if people just enjoy their stuff? I mean no one forces anyone to use something.
bl , 13 hours agoWindows is a complete mess and Apple OS 16 is not far away, does anyone know why?Because you do not like them.
Aka opinions and preferences.
Windows is a complete mess and Apple OS 16 is not far away, does anyone know why?
Anonymous, 20 hours agoWhy is it even disabled at the system level to begin with? SinisterHave you ever thought that it is because the Indian legal system does not allow it? Why do people always rush to complain about Apple just because it’s Apple and never once consider that the country has laws that don’t allow it? Or networks? 5G is not unlike ECG support on watches where it must be approved by country. Or other heart-related metrics.
AtomicMarrow147, 14 hours agoWell my iqoo gets an update and 5g is enabled with it. Apple is a bit slow.IQOO sucks on 4G+. And much less 5G.
5G will still be three years from now, according to me. At least two years away. Don’t expect anything before the end of 2024. Then 4G+ is enough with speeds of 200Mbps.
Well my iqoo gets an update and 5g is enabled with it.
Apple is a bit slow.
Anonymous, 18 hours agoMy Xiaomi phone supports 5g by default. You don’t need to get an update. I dont know… plusFrom a legal perspective, that shouldn’t be possible, unless the phone you bought is not intended for the Indian market.
Even the comment below mentions things about it.
It’s also a bit strange to blame Apple only here, Samsung and Google (to name a few) are also rolling out updates to enable 5G in India.
Even Xiaomi, just google because I just did it and found several articles mentioning it (I can’t link to them, because my comment wouldn’t be posted at that time)
