Samsung could introduce the Galaxy S23 lineup as early as next month
We’re starting to see signs of Samsung’s desire to introduce its flagship Galaxy S23 series sooner than before. This morning, we show you a supposed “pre-order poster” for the series which revealed that the trio of top-of-the-line phones would be unveiled on December 23 and launched on January 6. To put that in perspective, earlier this year the Galaxy S22 lineup was unveiled on February 9th and launched on February 25th.
It turns out that the Twitter tipster who spread the poster later claimed that “it was a poster artificially produced by an agency of a telecommunications company.” As for the dates listed on the promo item, it’s “hard to tell” if they’re correct. But when one door closes leading to the anticipated arrival of Sammy’s flagship phones, another opens. According to mypricesmartall three Galaxy S23 models have appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website.

The next Unpacked event could take place in December

This list could indicate that the next Unpacked event (which would include the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra) might not be that far away. In other words, don’t be surprised if Samsung announces its next flagship line as soon as next month or in January. This would give the Korean manufacturer more space between the S23 series and its next generation of foldables that would include the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5.

On the BIS website, the model number SM-S918B/DS is listed. This is the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The other two phones in the series, the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+, have the model numbers SM-S911B/DS and SM-S916B, respectively. You may also have noticed that there are three model numbers, SM-K741B/DS, SM-K746B/DS, and SM-K748B/DS. These mystery numbers could be a big clue about an upcoming new Galaxy K series (by the way, the SM at the beginning of each model number stands for Samsung Mobile).

The Galaxy S23 is rumored to be equipped with a 6.1-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080p FHD+. The Galaxy S23+ is expected to carry a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a central hole cutout for the 12 MP front-facing selfie camera. On the back, we should find a 50MP main camera, a 12MP Ultrawide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra should have a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1440p or QHD+. On the back of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, we expect to see the new 200MP camera sensor along with a 12MP Ultrawide camera and two 10MP telephoto cameras. It will reportedly be powered by a 5000mAh battery with the ability to charge at 25W.

All three phones will feature a 120Hz refresh rate and have either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or Exynos 2300 SoC under the hood, depending on the market. It has been speculated that all Galaxy S23 models will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset this year, but until Samsung makes a definitive announcement, this remains a rumour. Yes, this speculation actually came from trusted TF International analyst Ming-Chi Kuobut his accuracy on non-Apple rumors isn’t as high as it is for his Apple-based speculation.

Kuo said over the summer that the superior modem built into the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset is the reason Samsung won’t be using its Exynos chip in the upcoming Galaxy S23 flagship lineup. But until Samsung officially reveals the specifications of the Galaxy S23 models, this is just a rumor and speculation.
